The United Arab Emirates are sometimes simply called the Emirates or the UAE. It is a country situated in the southeast of the Arabian Peninsula in Western Asia on the Persian Gulf, bordering Oman to the east and Saudi Arabia to the south, as well as sharing sea borders with Qatar to the west and Iran to the north. The political system was based on the constitiution in 1971 and was composed of several intricately connected governing bodies.

The United Arab Emirates has a diverse and multicultural society. Emirati culture mainly revolves around the religion of Islam and traditional Arab, and Bedouin culture. Recent developments in the matter of "Dress and Culture" include the non-governmental campaign christened UAE Dress Code which aims to educate the expat population on local dressing and its sensitivity to Emarati population.

The second largest building in the world by floor space is the terminal n° 3 of the Dubai International Airport, which handles more than 60 million passangers per year. As well based in Dubai, Abu Dhabei is the tower of Etisalat, the 14th largest network operator in the world, serving an average of a 100 million customers.
